Tondos:

The Tondo presents an almost flat surface on which to develop still life imagery.   My latest tondos are glazed with a lighter, more colorful glaze.  Through my travels I made an interesting connection; this glaze is reminiscent of one found in Tang Dynasty ceramics of China, but also in pre-majolica ceramics from Italy and in Byzantine ceramics from Greece.  It’s my hope that the use of this glaze illustrates the links found in different periods of ceramics through the ages.
